IVC – education with a difference

The college was set up in 2011 within the Vassallo group. The main vision of the college is preparing students and attendees for the future by equipping them with skills that are needed to gain successful employment and living. These were initially identified by research conducted by a group of occupational psychologists who listed amongst these an intrapreneurial attitude at the workplace and a healthy lifestyle to sustain a sense of wellbeing. Below is just a quick skim through how this concept has developed, what has been happening and what is happening in the near future. IVC is a college designed by business for business and the attitude of both students and lecturers is around delivering real tangible skills needed.

2012

Our first students graduated from the diploma in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship in June. This was the first mile stone for the college, where the students were able to display what they had learnt to all, they pitched their ideas and it was an exceptional event. All the students have been very successful; they either have

gained successful employment or else like Kris below set up their own business. Employers outside the company who have recruited these students are approaching the school and already asking if other students will be graduating shortly as they would like to employ.  “I have never thought it would be so difficult to adapt to the new working environment as well as adapting to my co-workers. This is something I

learnt how to tackle throughout my learning experience with IVC Malta. The course has taught me valuable lessons that I will carry with me in my future business life. “ Kristoffer is currently setting up the business we worked on at the college in Munich.

The New Year – 2013

During the Conference we will be launching the London School of Business and Finance at IVC Malta. We are going to invite speakers to discuss further development of individuals at the workplace. All are invited, please just a drop us a line at info@ivcm.edu.mt. With LSBF students will be able to follow online courses with this prestigious Business school and complete an undergraduate degree in either 2 or 3 years in Business and Finance, leading up to an MBA.
